I can’t see why people liked this. It was so predictable. I knew that she was going to win the spelling bee the entire time I was watching the movie. In fact, they even tell you that she’s going to win in the ads. What’s the point?!

Zac Efron isn’t as cute as they say…especially not without blonde hair…cringes...

Sharon Creech is an awesome author. After I read this I looked her name up in the library catelog and got all of her books. (I was rather dissapointed by Heart Beat though.)

I totally disagree with this statement. I would know because I am a teenager struggling with belief and I felt the struggles that Jason (the main character) went through were always-
Pushed to the side or
Displayed in an ungenuine way.
I didn’t connect with any of the characters either. They all seemed to fit a stereotype (except for Jason). The nerd, the bully, the hearthrob.
I have a feeling that the author has never struggled with belief or religion in any way.

It was fun. The whole story was pretty predictable. The main character was neat though.

I had so much fun watching American Dreamz! The characters were likable and it was hilarious!
I agree with redcleo; that it was funny without being offensive.

I read the book and I thought it was highly overrated. I think most of Roald Dahl’s books are highly overrated though.
