Why I recommend "No Time for Dreaming" — 17 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The closest to a modern day James Brown that I’ve heard yet. I really liked this. It was slightly lacking in vocal depth (I think he’s got it, he just didn’t “flex” it), but that in no way detracted from its genius. All around worth consuming. All around good. Hit repeat immediately after the first listen.

A story about "Music Sounds Better With You" — 21 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Best lyric on the album:

“You’re the summer in my skies.”

A story about "Sing Along With Acid House Kings" — 21 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The best lyric in this whole album:

“They say you’re like a Monday morning.

I say you’re like a Friday night.”

A review of "Hard Bop Cafe" — 21 weeks ago

Nothing super stand out to me…. I’d say it’s good music for when I don’t want to pay attention to the music that is happening but want music to be happening.

A review of "In The Grace Of Your Love" — 21 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

It’s good at most points. It’s corny at some points, and it’s great at others. All in all I really like what they are trying to do here and they do a fairly good job at being original enough to stand out. It’s definitely something original and that alone should make it worth a spin.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

So this movie tried to juxtapose a happy couple alongside of their unhappy family & friends. It succeeded in that. What it didn’t do is say anything about it beyond that. It was a semi-novel idea and the movie had some honest scenes & good cinematography, but it didn’t go anywhere. It succeeded in showing the awkward & uncomfortable moments in life but had no conflict, message, or observation. In short, don’t waste your two hours.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Death Cab for Cutie in it’s melancholy and falsetto

Belle & Sebastian in it’s rhythm

Might Mighty Bosstones (a little) in the toned down horns

A story about "Torches" — 26 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Torches = (Architecture in Helsinki – annoying) + synths

Why I recommend "Flight to Jordan" — 26 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The kind of music they play at Starbucks that you like, but that you can never seem to figure out who plays it.
