I read this cover to cover barely stopping for food and water. A glorious book that made me want to study the Middle Ages when I finished it! Fun fun read.

All I can say is Wow. These books blew me away. They are set in the early ADs and are wonderful stories. It took me a bit to get into it but once I was I couldn’t put it down. GET THIS SERIES! You’ll love the characters as much as I did, I guarantee it.
Hands down Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite writers. More indepth than John Grisham, and more heartwarming than any Oprah book, this one didn’t disappoint. This tale of a little girl who talks to God and can heal people is riveting from page one.
I’m a big fan of historical biographies – particularly from the 16th and 17th centuries. Well imagine how quickly I fell in love with this historical fiction dedicated to Mary Boleyn, King Henry’s original choice as mistress – as opposed to Mary’s older sister Anne. The fact and fiction blend so seamlessly that I never doubted a word I read. It took forever to read but is well worth the effort. A fantastic read!
I thoroughly enjoyed this opening book in a four part series. Set in the 1400s, it tells the tale of a young girl who goes undercover as a squire to keep from being forced to be the chambermaid to the local evil landowner. Working to ensure religious freedom as well as maintain her cover, it’s an intriguing tale and I can’t wait to read the second book the series.
This book as a bit disappointing. Perhaps Ms. Picoult needs to take a break from writing? After devouring her previous books, this one seemed kind of lackluster.
I really enjoy Isabel Wolff’s writing – I’d easily compare her to Elinor Lipman, another favorite of mine. The characters are easy to fall in love with in their quirkiness, and yet never fall into caricature (sp). A fun read!
This was a great read – I was very entertained and can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
Henderson may not be able to write romantic chemistry well, but her plotlines are fun nontheless. The second on the O’Malley series didn’t disappoint and I look forward to the third.
The first chapter was a bit boring, but I stuck with it, and the next few chapters didn’t disappoint. The last chapter had me flagging a bit, but in the end I thought this was a decent book, and I’ll be reading more Revolutionary books in the future thanks to this one!
