We all know what happens and most of us saw the news reports on the recount in Florida for the 2000 Election, but what makes this film is the insider viewpoint. You spend most of the film thinking that all of these people (Repub’s and Dem’s) are just slightly insane. Spacey, Leary and Dern are really good and the conversation about the plural of chad is a beautiful piece of screenwriting.

Good book, but could have been great if the author had found a different tone. I really wanted this book to “teach” and open my eyes to something new. Instead it was presented in a manner that was at times confused or overly preachy. Last few chapters are the best part.

I happen to love it, but many fans and critics consider it not their best effort. The ballad “Silence” is possibly the best song on the album, but I also enjoy “Tracie” and “Heaven in my Hands”. If you like Level 42 this is worth a listen at the least.

A story about "Anchored in Love: A Tribute To June Carter Cash"

Features Loretta Lynn, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Ronnie Dunn, Emmylou Harris and others. Highlight in my opinion is Elvis Costello’s version of “Ring of Fire” which alone makes this album a “must listen” selection.

Includes tricks and tips for the novice up to the more advanced user. The book is well written in a format that is easy to read, skim for highlights on a specific topic or look up a specific piece of information in a panic. Do take note of the print edition if you are buying the book as it is updated constantly and you might want to find the most recent update.

The single “Something About You” was a big hit and I had read a bunch of articles on Mark King and his bass playing style so it peaked my interest in the album. It got a lot of play that summer.

Twenty-one years later I still have the CD and it is still a great album. Favorite tracks are “World Machine”, “Something About You” and “Dream-Crazy”.

While I know many would disagree, or at least prefer other eras from Sabbath, for me the Dio Years with its peak in the early to mid 1908’s are the true Black Sabbath sound.

So take a trip back about 25 years and remember if you listen to fools, the mob rules !

This is a wonderful movie that does not rely on excessive crude humor or intense action sequences to cover up the fact that there is no story. Ratatouille has humor, action, great characters and most important a storyline that is charming. If you enjoy food and cooking this film is a must.

I especially liked the two instrumental pieces “The Main Monkey Business” and “Malignant Narcissism”. As a bonus the liner notes have some fantastic artwork.

Never speaks, yet steals the show.

A story about "Little Bird"

Little Bird

by Becky Buller

I keep listening to this album over and over. Becky Buller is a great song writer (she wrote every song but one on the album) and her fiddle playing is wonderful. It is nice to see some fresh ideas in an area like Bluegrass which has plenty of history and tradition already.

A story about "Weird Minnesota (Weird)"

Weird Minnesota (Weird)

by Eric Dregni

From the same people who did Weird N.J. and Weird U.S. I guess they decided that Minnesota should be the third installment. The book covers all the strange items you might find in a state: local legends & fables, bizarre places, roadside oddities, famous and infamous people, strange collections and ghost stories. Not written as a travel guide (no addresses, hours of operation or phone numbers listed), but more like a collection of journal entries giving the history and what makes the item weird or unique.
