Neat, huh? Like the other things you learn from this segment.

I already knew some of the things they mentioned but it was interesting. For example, the studies about London cab drivers (Memorizing street maps might help regular people).

“Controlled fear” = Adrenaline ♥ (Ex; Fireworks Finale)

Some brain cells CAN regenerate during healing.

Afterward, we watched that strange French film, Amélie with English subtitles. I got a bit of the ending once but I never saw it entirely.

Do you think I’ll forever associate these with that movie now?

The slightly annoying part was squeezing some sand out of them. They were good and tasted like a sea creature would. I don’t know how to explain that. :) But, after I had them dipped in some concoction (with basil and whatnot) I had to eat them that way since it tasted so much better.

A story about "Crash (Widescreen Edition)"

Crash (Widescreen Edition)

by Paul Haggis

I read some of these entries and most are love it or hate it opinion on the film. My boyfriend refuses to watch any Academy Award winning films and I don’t blame him.

This movie, like Babel (which I didn’t like), had many different situations that were interconnected (as is everything in life), but in a film it can get confusing.

The one scene where the cop makes a split second decision reminded me of something I read in the book Blink, our unconscious decisions in moments of rapid decisions…

I have a tendency to get into movies when I watch them and I just was in the moment and must have cried about half a dozen times.

There were some flaws…(and I don’t want to give anything away.) Usually we watch movies to escape reality not to be thrown into it but this movie depicted issues of racism. It was a dramatic, depressing, and poignant film.
