Finished.. phew!
This took me forever.. I found it very dull up until the island. At the end it was interesting to find out the significance of the animals.

My question:
In the interview Pi asks the Japenese men how they would explain the meerkat bones in the boat. They say it could be mongoose bones but Pi says there were none on the ship..
What do you think the bones were from?

I’m not sure if it was supposed to be funny but I found myself laughing out loud.. It was a lot of talking, a lot of the same background and a very basic filming and editing. Most of the time during the conversations the camera just panned from side to side instead of cutting. Also it bothered me how you could see the characters in the mirror and sometime the camera would droop to the floor. Do I really need to see the peoples shoes?

I did like the natural, uncensored conversation. I really got into the movie – talking to the characters and what not. I think overall the movie was interesting enough, and realistic and though the camera work was amateur it gave off an organic feeling. Perhaps that’s what the film makers were trying to do, I don’t know.

Anyhow it had a brilliant, very funny, very convincing ending which was nice.

I think for most people you either love it and find it though provoking or think it is pretentious and over rated.

I wish I owned the movie, I have it on my computer which means I can’t share it with anyone and I can’t seem to get it to burn on to a disk. Bummer.

but good for it’s time. All filming was inside in London! Imagine all those little ponies inside! haha. Very interesting production but seemed rather racist and certainly put nuns in a bad light ;).

I can not invistion the boat what so ever.. is this a orange life boat that we often use or a sail boat or what? It doens’t look like this does it? and where exactly is the boie he is sitting on and how does that work? he’s not on the boat with the animals right?

An interesting food, never had anything like it before.

This book is long , oddly organize and flat. It’s also not explained well, so for the first few chapters I was reading with a blank face like .. “what?”. It’s not a fantastic read, and rather long, I think it culd most diffenately be shorter, since the content is rather rambely. The organization reminds me of Atwoods ‘The Robber Bride’ format which I didn’t care for either.

Very informative, I didn’t know the extent of women oppression in Sraudi Arabia. Left me with a sence of awe when I finished. Fantastic, unique read. 5 stars.
