I liked it, it’s pretty nice. The first half is better than the end, which kind of drags
I first read this as a serial when it was published in Analog SF&F – only the first two parts.
I loved it.
Not quite a favourite but pretty good – makes me want to play Go.
I love everything Clement, he manages a quite decent sequel to one of his early novels. Hard SF at it’s best.
I love all of his work. Highly recommended.
This is a book that is very balanced. I loved it. It’s right up there with Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep – simple stories meshing together into a more complex whole.
Simply written, slightly tiresome. A saddening towards the end, but then a revelation. You really have to stick with this book to appreciate some of it’s true nature. But anyone who knows Philip K Dick knows there is rarely a true nature of any kind…
