A review of "The Exorcist (The Version You've Never Seen)"

The Exorcist (The Version You've Never Seen)

by William Friedkin

“The Exorcist” is a brilliant horror film, concerned about character and, despite the countless parodies and how familiar the more fantastic elements are, is more effective because it plays more or less how people would react to this situation: completely unbelieving, skeptical, and very troubled by the reality. A classic. Now, this “version you’ve never seen” is, to me, a cheap excuse to re-release the film in theatres (back in 2000) and release another DVD version for people to buy. The added scenes range from “who cares?” (the crab walk) to the ridiculous re-editing of the ending which makes the movie fall completely flat! Watch only the original version!

A review of "Captain Vengeance"

Captain Vengeance

by Craig Salkeld

Craig Salkeld, originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, released this self-produced album in 1995. With Miles Hill (bass), Phil Robertson (drums), Joel Grundahl & Jack Semple (guitars), and Craig on keys, trumpet and vocals. If you like Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Steely Dan, Sting, Bruce Hornsby, Earth, Wind & Fire, etc., you’ll love this album!
