I can’t beleive how much acclaim this book has gotten. As an 23 year old, the reading level is just too base for me.

Beyond that the overly romanticized relationship between Bella and Edward was sickening. “his pale skin” this and “his perfect face” that. His “glistening chest as he laid in the grass”. His “strong marble arms”. Blah blah blah blah blah. Every other sentence was some obsessive description of this vampire by a young girl. It was just overkill. After the 100th reference to his awesomeness I couldn’t take it. I could basically skim through pages skipping over paragraphs that had already been written before. It wasn’t appealing. Half of this book could have been cut!

Bella is a nut. And needs help. And the fact that young girls her age identify with obsessing over a boys as much as Bella does (enough to want to die and become a vampire like him) is creepy. Get a hobby, read a real book, do some community service. There’s plenty of time in your life for a guy to suck the life out of you at some point. :)

I’m not a huge Kiera Knightly fan, but I was pretty impressed by this movie (but maybe it was easy to enjoy knowing I only paid $0.75 at the dollar theatre) :)

This movie at times is heart wrenching. There are a lot of interesting themes at play here and it’s quite beautifully portrayed by all of the actors. I can see how maybe the male dominance theme is a bit heavy handed, but it’s not far fetched for this time period.

Worth a watch.

You can’t help but smile watching this movie.

I could’ve done with out Travolta’s annoying performance and terrible vocals however. Ugh.

This is so depressing.

Soulful and poignant. His voice gives me chills. And the content of his songs are so powerful. Selfishly I hope people don’t discover him :) What a find!

I adore this movie!! It is laugh out loud funny and oh so charming.

If you don’t know Bob Dylan’s music, then this isn’t a good movie to watch. How very elitist!

a sweet story! i love stories like this that remind me how simple life should and can be.

I have a hard time watching black and white movies, but somehow this movie trancended that.

For the time it was made, I can see why it is so acclaimed. It doesn’t compare with great contemporary movies, but there is something very nostalgic and moving about Casablanca – and therefore very worth consuming! :)

Not as good as season 1. The beginning of Season 2 was hard to push through. After being so incredibly invested in the characters of season 1, I was frustrated to have to get to know a whole group of new characters when all I could care about was
“where’s kate, jack, locke, walt, michael, etc.”

But trust that it gets better. Waaaay better. Still no season 1, but has me pumped to see season 3 and 4!
