A story about "The Anthropology of Language: An Introduction to Linguistic Anthropology" — 1 year ago
A good book if you’d like an overview of Linguistic Anthropology. Coherent, easy to read and sprinkled with amusing anecdotes.

I’ve watched the whole series a couple times since I added it to All Consuming. It makes me happy, but also a bit sad because I really like the characters and I sort of want to know what happened to them.
Reading this book is like wading through fetid, knee-deep mud, slow going and generally unpleasant. This is such an interesting topic, but this is not the book to read unless you are a serious scholar. Not surprisingly, it was promptly dropped from the curriculum.
I am completely unable to function without at least one pot of tea per day.
I normally don’t go in for Starbucks’ frou frou flavored coffees, but I’m obsessed with the Gingerbread Lattes. My brother-in-law works for Starbucks, so I had him procure one of the big bottles of gingerbread syrup for me, so I can have them even when they’re not in season.
I’ve had so many people recommend this book to me, and I’m finally getting around to reading it.
I love this series, I’m slowly watching the episodes I haven’t seen. There are so few I feel like I need to ration them out. Only five left.
The best TV show that (almost) nobody watched.
