Zombie Strippers

“Worth Seeing” is not because it’s a good movie, but because it’s a campy movie with Jenna Jamison in it. It is SO cheesy you won’t believe it. At some points the writers were just “showing off”, using big words you are convinced the ‘actresses’ didn’t understand.

I was lucky enough to see this in a theater. There were six people in the audience on a Thursday of the first week of release. It may become a cult classic like RHPS, you never know.

See it while you can, but not because it’s a great movie.

Charlie Wilson's War

I liked the movie, “Charlie Wilson’s War” for several reasons, not least of which was the fact that I sometimes live in Washington DC area and the reason I like living there is that decisions made there have impact around the world. It is a, and perhaps ‘the’ center of political power in the world.

Charlie is a good guy, who sees a problem and goes about solving it with the tools in his toolbag (funding from congress). Personally, I like the idea that the US did help get the Soviet Army out of Afghanistan.

And while sometimes politics is the art of the possible, as we see at the end of the film, (not a spoiler … hello… it was in all the newspapers …) that we could have continued to fund schools and roads and perhaps kept the Taliban out of … well, it’s all history now…. but the big picture was that it was a major step in the end of the CCCP.
