A story about "Razor Sharp (The Sisterhood)" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Well, my mom’s read it, and she LOVED it! Just like I did. She’s gonna try to get the rest of the Sisterhood books from her local library. Even though I only read Razor Sharp, if the other books are anything like it, and I imagine they are, The Sisterhood series is a must read – that’s my prediction.

Why I recommend "Unsweetened Soymilk" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

People hate this stuff. And it is my favourite. I love the taste. I don’t think it tastes bad and with all the things that contain sugar in this world, this product is very welcome in my home and my body. I have somewhat of a sweet tooth, and have sugar cravings like anybody else, so I try to reduce sugar in any way I can (to compensate), and buy unsweetened products, like:

Natura Soymilk, Oasis juices with no sugar added, whole/multi grain bread with no sugar or fat, yogurt with no sugar or gelatin (I’m vegetarian) and sweetened naturally, like honey, unsweetened applesauce (and other fruit sauces) – like Mott’s Fruitsations, plain Cheerios, etc.

A story about "Freaks and Geeks: The Complete Series" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I didn’t think I was going to like it. I was like I don’t wanna watch it. My boyfriend told me: just give it a try. I was like “Ughhh, ok”. I was hooked and kept watching it for only one reason, because of John Francis Daley (Sam). I love Bones, on which he plays Dr. Sweets. As I was watching the beginning of the first Freaks episode, I saw Sam and I did a double take. I was like: “Hey, he.. he.. he looks familar. Omg! It’s Sweets! He’s so young and cute! (not that he isn’t now). Omg!” … lol. I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was so cool to see him so young… and I love the show.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Found the book at bowling, someone had left it on the counter and they said I could take it… glad I did, great book, and love Jack and Harry, they’re hilarious. Had never heard of Fern Michaels before. Gonna be reading more of her now. Told my mom about her and she hadn’t heard of her either, and she was surprised she hadn’t because she is an avid reader and Fern’s written so many books. I lent her Razor Sharp. She reads books in like a day (ok well maybe 3).

Can’t wait to read more of the Sisterhood Series, sounds riveting and exciting.

Why I want to consume "Bamboo Products" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

BAMBOOINSTEAD OF WOOD

I just bought bamboo utensils by Desax. I haven’t used them yet because the other ones I have, are still good. Bamboo is a versatile and renewable resource and better for the environment. The Earth and us need trees to survive, so using bamboo (or other non-wood products) instead of wood is a must.

OTHERBAMBOOPRODUCTS:

  • Furniture
  • Furnishings
  • Floors
  • Clothing
  • Blinds
  • Baskets
  • Fences

Why I recommend "Solar Power" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I recommend using solar energy because it it affordable and will save you money on your electricity bill, and, in turn, you will be saving the planet of the pollution you would otherwise be creating.

I bought the XPower Powerpack Solar 400 by Xantrex, at Canadian Tire. Actually, I bought three. First of all, I was really happy to see it was on sale for 89$ CAN, instead of 179$ or something like that. I bought 2 for us (my boyfriend and I), then went back and got another one for my cousin – she asked me to go get her one when I told her about it.

I have used it so far to power my laptop. And will be using it to power small appliances like blender, coffee grinder, coffee maker, toaster oven (if it doesn’t use too much energy – you have to be careful for that), food dehydrator, the cats’ litter box (I have a Bionaire Odor Grabber Litter Box), the juicer, popcorn popper, bread maker, rice maker, dehumidifier (again, if it doesn’t take too much energy to power), air purifier, also to recharge my cell phone, hair trimmer, and sooo much more.

A story about "Avatar IMAX 3D [Theatrical Release]" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

First time watching a movie in 3D. I’ve seen films in IMAX before (at the Museum of Civilization in Ottawa-Hull), but with 3D, it’s pretty cool. But some people say that just 3D is better because the screen is longer of something like that. Anyway, the movie was pretty kick-ass. Glad to have been able to see it in theaters.

A story about "Dennis the Menace (Special Edition)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I liked this movie when I was younger, and it is still sorta good, but there were moments where I was “what the heck” and “I used to like that?”… I still sorta liked it but it was different. The best part of the movie though, and I did laugh, a lot, was when Dennis was being held ‘hostage’ and was still his ‘menace’ self and put the robber through hell… so funny.
