Why I recommend "Biodegradable Cleaning Wipes" — 21 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Right now I use the Method biodegradable cleaning wipes (made in the US – San Fransisco). They work great and I don’t feel bad when throwing them away.

Other brands:

- Green Works
- Travel Antiseptic Biodegradable Wipes
- Fellowes® (cleaning, disinfecting)
- Sanitizing Hand Wipes (made in California)
- Mrs. Meyers
- Twist (cleaning cloths)
- Fresh Bath (travel wipes)
- Pure Wipes

Why I recommend "Homemade soup" — 21 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Plain easy-to-make soups, as opposed to soups in cans full of salt, preservatives, additives and other things you don’t want. Examples:

Cauliflower soup:

Boil cauliflower, blend in blender and eat. If you like, add a vegetable cube for added taste, when cooking the cauliflower.

You can do the same with broccoli, spinach, squash, carrots, etc. The sky’s the limit!

By making your own soups, you use way less packaging, and by buying your vegetables at your local Farmer’s Market, you’re helping the environment even more!

Be green and healthy!

A story about "Demetan la Petite Grenouille (Original French ONLY Version - No English Options)" — 25 weeks ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid. I was so happy when I found it on DVD. Took me a while to buy it though because it was 74,00$ CAN. Waited long enough to get it for 39,00$ CAN.

Remembered none of the episodes from the cartoon because I was so young when I first watched it, but it was still good. All I remember was loving this cartoon so much and it’s main characters Demetan and Renatan.

Loved the short story, which was quite long for a short story. Loved the movie until the end. Crappy, crappy ending.

WORTH CONSUMING!

It was AWESOME!! WHOO HOO! Haven’t been to a lot of concerts in my life and being able to see Def Leppard live yesterday was amazing!! Even though I was dead tired because of work. A lot of people posted their videos of the concert on Youtube. Just search Def Leppard Scotiabank Place 2008.

Billy Idol was awesome too! Rebel yell she cried “more, more, more”. Hey motherfcker, get laid, get fcked! It’s a nice day to, start againnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

WHOOO!

I love it when they put on a show and not just stand still like a zombie and sing.

Barely had no voice this morning, but that’s ok! It was worth it!!! :D

A story about "The Raymond Briggs' The Snowman" — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

14/04/08

I remember watching this movie when I was a kid and thinking “wow this is good for a movie with no words”. I was surprised that I liked it, heck, I was memorized. And years later I remembered thinking that when I was watching this movie I was really calm and quiet. I was always a very agitated kid and all over the place.

A few years ago, I went to a Blockbuster and saw the movie there. I looked at the cover and I was like “Oh my God, I know this movie! It’s the movie with the kid and the snowman that used to watch when I was a kid!”. I was like should I buy it or not? And ended up not buying it, telling myself I needed to save money. And when I got home, I was like “I should have bought it”. I mean, how often do you fall upon one of your childhood movies. It’s hard to find movies when you don’t remember the title. So the next day I went back but it was gone. Ugh! I was so disappointed and I regretted sooooooo much not buying it!

But a few months ago, I was at this grocery store and they have a stand with a bunch of movies, and I found it there! I bought it right away. I was so happy!! :D

A story about "Alice in Wonderland" — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I remember watching this wonderful movie when I like 12 years old. I watched it so many times. It’s one of my favourite movies. I remember getting up in the middle on the night to watch it. My friend was sleeping over and we watched it together. That was so fun. I was so surprised that we didn’t wake my parents up. I am so happy they have that movie on DVD now! I had been looking for it for 4 years.

Why I recommend "Biodegradable Poop Bags" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Scoopies is a great little product: Biodegradable bags for your pets (cats, dogs, as well as other pets). They degrade within 6 months to a year or more, depending on the exposure. As opposed to non-degradable plastics that take 500 to 1000 years to degrade, while releasing chemicals into the ground and polluting our planet, and “jamming” our already overflowing, expanding and multiplying landfills.

Other great bio bags: small bags you can get from stores, such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Jean-Coutu, HMV, Metro, Natural Food Pantry, and much, much more. I use those often. Or the bags that the PubliSac comes in – it’s biodegradable now!

Check with stores where you like to shop and ask them if they have biodegradable bags – if not, suggest them that they do!

Other great bags (right size and length) but not biodegradable yet, but hopefully soon: Subway, newspaper bags (Ottawa Citizen & Sun – I live in Hull QC, near Ottawa) – I’ve sent them all emails suggesting them to make their bags biodegradable.

Do the same in your town!

Next: Sending emails to bread companies…. so many great poop bags!

Thanks for reading and be green!

A story about "100% post-consumer recycled paper" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I actually ended up buying Staples Business Depot paper: 500 sheets, 100% post-consumer, for 4,97. Pretty darn good price! My fiancee saw it on sale, I was so happy!
