Loving this so far.

Why I recommend "Grumpy Old Men" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

So many wishy-washies… why?

This movie is great. Great comedy, with great actors. Love the bickering. LOVE the “live life now, don’t wait until it’s too late” message. Love Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau (RIP) and their great partnership in movies. I miss them both. Can’t believe that it’s been so long since they left us.

A story about "Disney's Flubber" — 2 years ago

I didn’t hate the movie. I liked it-ish, but it’s not what I remember from when I was a teenager. I liked it when I was younger because it was a movie we watched as a family.

Why I recommend "Subterranean" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Loved it from the beginning. Great and interesting book. Loved the suspense and the action. Couldn’t put it down! But found it angering at times. Recommended it to my co-worker – we were talking about books we were reading/read. She likes archeology and the like.

A story about "Rising Phoenix" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Product Description

Special Agent Mark Beamon is a maverick. His open disdain for the FBI’s rules—and Directors—has exiled him to a no-profile post in the boondocks.

But when a shadowy right-wing group starts flooding America’s emergency rooms with dead and dying, Beamon is summoned back to Washington. Teamed with an icily efficient female field agent, he is given the thankless task of stopping the slaughter—even though millions of Americans secretly approve of it!

As the body count rises, Beamon realizes there is something eerily familiar about his adversary, reminding him of the coldest killer he ever encountered—not a criminal but a law enforcement colleague. And for the first time, he wonders why he was chosen for this assignment.

Was it his expertise—or his expendability?

Why I recommend "Dead Set [NON-U.S.A. FORMAT: PAL Region 2 U.K. Import DVD]" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

KICKASS one-series British TV show from 2008 that could have pretty much been a movie (about the same length – 5 episodes of 30 mins).

Starts normal, but then there’s the twist! Which is the whole premise of the show. I don’t want to say more and give anything away for those who have never watched or heard of it, because I really want anybody watching it to be surprised like I was… it is SO friggin cool! Actually, I think it was awesomely cool, but depends on your tastes. But even if you don’t like that kind of thing, you will love the switch from normal to…

Please, if anybody comments, don’t give it away! Thanks!

And for people who want to watch it: refrain from checking it online! My boyfriend told me “don’t check it out online! Trust me, watch the whole first episode and you’ll see. You’ll see what I mean”… Very happy I listen to him!

Watch it, it is WORTH it!

A story about "Golf" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Went golfing with my cousin (she eats and sleeps golf). I liked it, it was fun. It would be funner (if that’s a real word) if I could hit the ball straight, or high, or far, or hit it period. Well, it was only my 3rd time golfing, ever. 1st was in 2007, with bowling, before the our bowling dinner/party, in Vars, Ontario (I think), 2nd was this past April, when we went to Atlantic City for a trip (my cousin and I and her mom), and now yesterday, at Anderson Links, in Ottawa (near Metcalfe), in Ontario.

My cousin says that if I practice I could become really good. She’s says that I have a good form… or something like that. She says I should go to driving ranges – and I just might. I like golf and since my cousin does too, we could get 2 for 1’s – cause you know, it can be friggin expensive.

What I would like to do is golf on trips, in golf courses around the world – now that would be fun.

My cousin wants to go on a trip where she golfs everyday. She told me that, and the other guys we were playing with, yesterday, and I was like “I don’t know if I could actually do that”, then she’s like: “yep, that’s the thing, everybody always say that”, then I told the other 2 guys: “well, I would do it just to make her happy” (who knows, I might actually like it – but I would have to get better at it though – I don’t want the trip to be miserable).

I asked her: “Where would you actually go on that golf trip?”, she answered: “Florida”. I said: “Well Florida is nice, and we could visit it afterward, so maybe we could do 2 weeks and visit on the 2nd week.” She thought it was a great idea. So one year we might actually do it.

2 weeks is a perfect amount of time to go on vacation. 1 week, just when you start relaxing and forgetting about work, you have to leave and come back, at least 2 weeks, that’s when you can really enjoy yourself, kick back, relax and forget about work. Also, imagine golfing for a week, then coming back… yikes. I rather relax after that week and visit the city that is unknown to me and have fun.
