Brilliant adaptation! For once we see how seriously the difference in social class shapes the character and behavior of all of the characters and how Mr. Darcy in particular struggles with protecting his peers and doing what is expected of him instead of reaching for what he desires.

When Matthew MacFadyen delivers the line, “You have bewitched me; body and soul” I very nearly wept. What would it be like to love like that? What would it be like to be loved like that?

I think the strawberries are weird AFTER they soak up the milk – they get SLIMEY. So I skip the milk entirely and instead I eat this (almost every morning) with about half a quart of peach yoghurt. YUMMY!!!
