A story about "A Prairie Home Companion" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

When I first heard that they were going to a movie out of “A Prairie Home Companion” I was excited until I heard who was going to be in it: Meryl Streep, Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones, Lindsey Lohan??? I thought no way am I going to go see that.

But I decided too anyways, and somehow, they made the movie work! I was amazed by Meryl Streep’s & Lindsey Lohan’s singing. It blew me away.

If you are expecting a plot, there is not really any. If you are not a fan of the show, it might not be worth seeing. But if you are familiar with the show and a fan, it’s great!

Pay attention, stay focus, because if you don’t you will definitely miss out on some jokes. The best, “The Bad Joke Song” sung by Dusty and Lefty (Woody Harrelson & John C. Reily). Those were some good jokes (that’s the redneck in me talking).

A story about "An Illustrated Viking Voyage: Retracing Leif Erikssons Journey In An Authentic Viking Knarr" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A good visual look to “Viking Voyage” by W. Hodding Carter. Gorgeous photographs of places and scenery really found – Greenland, Labrador, the Davis Strait, icebergs.

A story about "Red Dwarf - Series 7" — 3 years ago

The first four series were the best, but it has been going downhill since then. There are a few good episodes (Dallas, 1963 – Kennedy Assassination), but it just doesn’t have the right feel to it anymore. Cat’s wisecrack’s weren’t as good as they use to be. And it’s never the same without Rimmer.

A story about "A Viking Voyage : In Which an Unlikely Crew of Adventurers Attempts an Epic Journey to the New World" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

What happens when a guy dreams big – too big – and figures he can pull it off? An unforgettable adventure. Hodding Carter decides he can follow in the footsteps of Leif Erikson and retraces his route from Greenland to Vinland in a replica Viking ship. What happens is mayhem and hijinks, but nevertheless succeeds. Carter writes with (sometimes bawdy) humor and honesty about his (mis)adventures.

A story about "Pow Wow Highway" — 3 years ago

Is it just me, or does parts of it seem to have influenced “smoke signals?” there are things about it that totally reminded me of aspects of “smoke signals”.

A review of "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A very adorable and yet heartfelt book about a china rabbit who was once proud of himself and never loved his owner (but she had loved the china rabbit), who, after a series of disasters, learns what it means to love and be loved.
