Why I recommend "The Inner Game of Tennis" — 3 years ago
I don’t have much interest in tennis, but I loved this book. These ideas are definitely not limited to tennis – I’ve found them to be helpful in my work as a computer programmer, and in learning to juggle, and I’d bet that they can be applied to a whole bunch of different kinds of skills.
I also think there are some fascinating similarities between these ideas and the spiritual stuff that I’ve learned from people like Eckhart Tolle. It’s all about being right there, in the present moment, and learning to quiet the inner dialogue and observe without judging.
