I came to Oval last night to visit the local Blue Elephant Theatre, currently showing a production of Oedipus (which was very good). The station is next to the famous Oval cricket ground, and inside the station tiles are decorated with cricketers in various sporting positions.

I visited London City Airport DLR station last Friday when I arrived for my flight to Luxembourg. I wrote about my weekend away here. I recommend everyone flies from City at least once – the fabulous views over central London – taking in the Thames, the O2, the London Eye and the famous bridges – are not to be missed.
