In the last couple weeks of free time leading up to a new job, I played lots of happy-go-lucky teen movies like this to half-watch while I cleaned, unpacked, and organized our new apt. This particular one was no different from any of the others except for the costuming. Many of the gowns were immaculately designed, built, and tailored. Too bad it was wasted on this level of film…

yeah. Not really. It, however, was exactly what I expected it to be and how often can you say that about something? I enjoyed the first Princess Diaries (shuddup) and was looking forward to the sequel. Strangely, although the main character was now 21 instead of 16, this was more child-like than the first. Won’t say I won’t watch it again; since I bought it (for £5) it’ll probably be played some day when I’m home sick with the flu.
