Better than I expected! Mind you, I’d seen a chunk of it before and wanted to see how it ended, so obviously something drew me in. Overall not brilliant, but tense enough to keep me watching without me feeling uncomfortable at any point – which I can see would be a negative for most people!

This was possibly the most overrated film I’ve ever seen: basically “Home Alone” for an older audience – It’s just as amusing to watch, but for all the wrong reasons. Like Home Alone, there is the lack of any real plot, the acting and diologue is poor at best, but at least with Home Alone you weren’t supposed to take it all too seriously.

You can’t help but think that all the effort and imagination in the making of the film was put into the opening credits, which are actually rather impressive. The rest of the film seems more of an after-thought.

There wasn’t much to enjoy about this film. It was predictable and far-fetched, never a good combo.

David Fincher is a fantastic director, and it’s only a shame that he was left working without any acting talent. Jodie Foster and Forest Whitaker? What a shame. Still, the cinematography is gorgeous, as one would expect from the eye of David Fincher.
