My skin was not the deep cystic type of acne that responds to anti-biotic type pills. I had this rashy, every-pore-is-clogged, red acne. I was on Accutane (ranging from 10 mg, up to 40 mg [I’m only 100 lbs]) for 6 months. My skin was AMAZING!! About 2-3 months off of it, my skin started breaking out again, but nowhere near as bad. It was enough to put me back on, and I’m now at 50 mg, month 4 of a 5/6 month cycle. My skin is really clear. The only side effect I have is really dry/chapped lips. Easy to fix.
