It took me a while to get through this one. First time I got it from the library I couldn’t really get into the story, and had to return it unfinished. After a few months I took the book home again for a retry, and finally got in touch with the story (though it was still a pain holding up this huge hardcover while reading in bed). Himalaya is good like Palin’s other travel stories, but a little less dynamic.
