Does anyone have a good recipe for these? My Latvian grandmother used to make these, and I found a recipe once but they weren’t the same. Hers were filled with onion and bacon. Mmmmmm.

I had never heard of them till I visited Canada. Most American’s don’t know what they are. Anyway, I tried them 3 years ago and they are yummy, especially with bacon. Everyone here in Canada eats them with sour cream but I don’t like that. I like them with BBQ sauce for some reason. My husbands grandma apparently makes some killer pierogies, and we have some frozen in the freezer, I have yet to try them. But now that I live here I can get them anytime, anywhere.
I tried some that they had in the frozen food section back home in TX, and they of course were terrible.
