have we not learned yet that good will always triumph over evil, whether it be in ourselves or in the world at large?

I loved the first 2 X-Men films. Great stories, great cast – really very little room for error and virtually impossible to cock-up (I thought). Until I saw X-Men 3.
What was the director doing? This could have been fantastic, but instead clumsy editing, dodgy plotting and cliche ruined the overall effect. And the climax of the film (Wolverine & Phoenix) was laughable. It was far too easy to bring matters to a close.
I hope that they get a much better director if they do a 4th.

By far the best X-Men movie yet, leaving a delightful opening for yet another movie.

me and my best friend crystal went to the mall and seen this movie last night. It was awesome but in a since I was a little disappointed in some scenes.. like cyclops being killed by jean at the beginning of the movie?? that was just crazy….I was thinking okay maybe she just knocked him out or something oh no she killed him. and if any of you are familiar with the famous comic books the movie wasn’t quite like the comics even though some say it shouldn’t go exactly like the comic books. but aside from all this I liked the movie there was alot more x-men characters in this film then there was in the last one. even if they was only seen for a brief moment. but what baffles me is why do they hold back all the characters true powerful mutant abilities til the last movie? anyways I still liked it

The heating in the cinema wasn’t working. We froze our arses off. The movie seemed ok enough.

The second movie was better. Enjoyable, but my 11yo son was right when he said if you saw the movie on it’s own merits that you would be disappointed and probaby confused.

Not a worthy follow up to the other sequels. No cohesive ensemble acting. They have supposedly combined two of the comic stories. There is not enough development of characters.
With 2 very successful predecessors, it is inevitable that there would be comparions esp since there was a change in directors. Brett Ratner takes over from Bryan Singer and does a decent job. With an awesome climax, the movie is fast-paced. Unfortunately, it’s at the expense of the characters. More mutants are introduced but few are well-developed. A good end to the trilogy…or is it the end?

I didn’t love it, but the special effects were enough to keep me interested. Angel’s wings looked very good.

I have some complaints but it was overall very entertaining. I wish they had more character development. It seems like there are so many characters that we only get to see the ensemble and don’t get to spend much time with each person. B and I agree that each movie could easily be three hours and we wouldn’t care; we want to see more, more, more! She’s heard talk of a spinoff featuring Wolverine and I think that would be ideal! Adam says each character should have their own movie, at least one that focuses mostly only them. I agree! I want to know all of their backstories. I know that they have really detailed pasts and everything—I want to know everything! So, that’s my only gripe. MAKE THEM LONGER!
