Most boring book I have ever read. Another thing that made it hard was being forced to read it in school, usually I’m okay with this (though I don’t like the concept overall) I can usually finish a book. This one was just not happening for me.

I LOVETHISBOOK!!! I first read it over the summer before my freshman (hs) year as an honors english assignment. This was my favorite out of the 3 books we had to reveiw, in fact, it was my favorite that entire year with the exception of Catch 22. I love it soo much. It broadened my point of view SOOO much from being an American girl born and bred in the city with that as pretty much my only life experience. I saw what it was like to live in South Africa from the eyes of someone who did. It was amazing, and I could apply some of the things I saw to my own life, even moreso now that I really understand more of the content. Really, it is a GREAT book and I highly recommend it.
