So, I always thought hummus sounded gross. Not what it was made of or how it was made (because I never bothered to find out). Just the word sounded so unappetizing. But I was so wrong! Warm pita bread and hummus is AWESOME!
I can only eat sprouted hummus, which I’ve never seen in Boulder (there’s a dreadie couple in Portland who make and sell it at New Seasons and such), and I don’t have the dedication to sprout the beans myself.

But, it is good for you, most people like it, and it’s fairly versatile, so it’s a safe potluck option.
Thankfully, I prefer Baba Ghanouj.
I love hummus on toasted wheat bread!! heck, on any kind of toasted bread.
