What a surprise!

Disco, boogie, electronics, bass. It’s got a lot of things going for it, and I don’t mean it’s disco in the olden sense of the word; imagine Beth Ditto’s work with Simian Mobile Disco and you’ll get the gist of what I’m implying.

Her voice really carries the album, and the Xenomania production (well, Brian Higgins’, anyway) is sharp and on-point.
