It was Sunday and there was nothing to do. A lazy Sunday, how awful. And for some God forsaken reason, Waiting was the movie playing on Comedy Central. Ugh.

I thought I’d seen the end of this movie after being suckered into seeing it for free on promotion. I wish I had been right.

I had heard mixed reviews of this from friends, but still wanted to see it. My husband said that it would only be really good if you’ve worked in a restaurant before, and he said that they got it exactly. I appreciated it a little more from all the stories I’ve heard over the years from him about work, so I thought it was pretty funny.

The movie wears its influences on its sleeve (CLERKS,AMERICAN PIE) but there are a decent number of laughs and a few laugh really hard moments (the Nic and T-Dog gangsta rap video over the credits is worth it so let the movie keep rolling…and even after that there’s one final “extra” worth catching). Probably worth watching once…maybe even a handful of times..but not something I feel compelled to own.

I think I saw this movie before when it was called Mallrats.
