This is my favorite novel of Jane’s, and since she’s my favorite author I guess you could say this is my favorite book. One important thing to remember: it’s satire, which means in order to understand the book more fully, I recommend reading up a bit on the Gothic horror novels of the day, and esp. authoress Ann Radcliffe.
