This mystery was dull. The author is trying to change her core characters into more interesting characters, but kind of missed in this novel. The last Jane Jefferies mystery where Jane was at the mystery conference was interesting, but this one where Jane finally gets her book published was dull and anticlimatic. The mystery wasn’t solved by super sleuths Jane and her best friend Shelley, but by her boyfriend police dectective Mel. I guess everyone expects the police to solve the mystery, so I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as I do, when Jane is doing the snooping.
