dinner on my birthday. french chef sent out a complimentary tasting of foie gras, along with a little pour of ice wine. one of the most amazing flavor pairings I’ve ever tasted. it can’t be explained, it has to be experienced. a bartender I know also makes a nice little martini using this ice wine with Ciroc vodka, which is a French vodka made from grapes.

This has such a pretty honey-colour to it, but not terribly fruity or interesting. A bit acidic, even. Could it be too old?!
