It was $2.99. Can’t beat that!
I think I’m going to try the cab next. Mmmmmm, cheap wine!

We had a Barossa Valley shiraz wine tasting, and I picked this up just as a benchmark. Sad to say, two-buck-chuck shiraz is not in the same league with Australia’s finest. Then again, neither is the price, so although I probably will not buy this again, I can’t say it is not worth tasting for what it costs. I think I’ll stick with Mr. Shaw’s merlot if I want a cheap red.

I found the bouquet of this wine rather noxious, although its varietal charactistics were very pronounced. I still think it rather skunky. I have taken to decanting young red wines for a while before drinking to smooth out harsh notes and develop the flavor a bit; that helped a bit with this one.
The taste was not all that bad, but nothing to get to excited about. I have forgotten any specific tasting notes.
I would not get this one again, but it was only $2.99 at Trader Joes in Washington. OK for that price, but their merlot and cab are better.
