WORTH CONSUMING!

I can’t believe Patrick Marber wrote Closer. He’s so amazing in Knowing Me Knowing You. I love all the work he does with Steve Coogan and now I find out he wrote Closer. Just odd info.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I love this show. I love steve coogan. But don’t put this on at a party no one appreciates it. It was more of a Chappell Show crowd.

Darkly Funny Chat Show Parody — 3 years ago

Steve Coogan is a talented performer and to see him in the “live” chat show parody, Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge is a treat. The 6 episode series, written by Coogan, Armando Iannucci, and Patrick Marber, has a host who is clueless and guests that become increasingly more contemptuous of the host. The series conclusion is both inevitable and surprising. It’s probably a very acquired taste, but if you like dark, uncomfortable comedy (like the original The Office), then this bit of mid 90s comedy may work for you. Otherwise, it may be a bit too much to take. I quite liked it.

WORTH CONSUMING!

So awkward and just as amusingly un-comfortable as Curb! Alan is a moronic social retard who hosts a mid-90’s Brit chat show with guests so insipid he can hardly contain himself during his interviews.
The “Knowing Me, Knowing You” title refers to his personal obsession with Abba.
