NOT WORTH CONSUMING
I’ve seen worse – much! – but this was still meh. It just didn’t grab me at all, story-wise or visually.
I’ve heard Cypher compared to The Matrix, but that would be quite a stretch, frankly. There is that sense of reality not being what you think it is, oh and some little red pills, but otherwise – no, not really.
More than that, I’d suggest there’s something Orwellian about this. Mind control and looming, shadowy corporations playing with lives.
Overall, though, the whole thing was just a bit too flat for my liking.
