Anna, played by Jovovich, has “face blindness” and can’t identify faces, not her lover’s, or her father’s, or the rapist-killer whom she saw commit murder. It’s an interesting concept that keeps the viewer guessing throughout. Good acting by Jovovich, as usual, and an interesting small part for Marianne Faithfull as Dr. Langenkamp. Replacing the “usual” Hollywood ending is something more real and satisfying, too.
