Okay, so lately, I’ve been on a Doctor Who kick lately. It’s my wife’s fault. Actually, if I am going to be honest, it’s PBS’ fault. I grew up watching the classic British Sci-fi staple around age 4. It came on everyday at 5, right after Sesame Street, Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact, and Slim Goodbody. Yes, I know that I’ve really dated myself here.
Anyways, I found this novelization of the very first Who episoder at a thrift store years ago. Just recently, I found it tucked away on my sci-fi book shelf unread and unawares. So, being on a big Who trip, I decided to read it.
Being the first novel I have read for pleasure since before culinary school began in 2009, I dove right in without any trouble. I loved every page and it made me want to read more Who as well as watch more Who. It’s very hard to find and not cheap. I’ve seen in on eBay with an asking price of $20. Amazon’s about the same. But, if you can find it, it is very much Worth Consuming. Now, to find a cheap copy of the episode very soon!
