Why I gave up consuming this — 1 year ago
Nice, and enjoyable, but kid and I haven’t picked it up since that first time, and it’s more fun to save until she’s in the mood again.
3 out of 3 people (100%) think this is worth consuming…

A story about this — 2 years ago
Yesterday, my younger daughter was complaining that she had nothing to do, and had read everything in the house. She agreed, upon prompting, that she hadn’t read everything, but that everything she hadn’t read was ‘grown up’.
I picked this book off the shelf and told her it had been one of her father’s grandmother’s favorite books. She still didn’t feel like reading it, but was immediately drawn to it when I began to read it out loud. “It’s like Mom-Mom is talking to me”.
It is, in fact, as if my husband’s grandmother was there, with us, talking about her own childhood. We are enjoying the read aloud.
