This book was only about 90 pages long, so there is only so much you can do in a story that is that length. However the author manages to give you a sense of dispair from both the main characters. The ending is a little contrived, but all in all it was a good, quick little paranormal romance. I will definitely be looking for more stories about Maggie Shayne’s High Witches.
