It’s definitely “gritty” at times and it “rocks”…but as a whole, it just doesn’t hang together as well as other albums of theirs (UNDERDOG anyone?) About half the tracks I like (’I’m Alive’,‘Rejoice’,‘Speak to Me’,‘Summertime’,‘Lonely Man (demo)’) and the other half I’m indifferent towards or just plain don’t like. Diehard Adrenaline Junkies will probably love it, but I wouldn’t make this the one of theirs you start with.
