I remember reading this book as a child over 30 years ago; During the 60s and 70s, Loretta Lynn was the reigning Queen of Country. In my book, she is still one and I remember when she and her late husband Doolittle would do the Crisco commercials around the 80s, 90s; I would get a kick out of it; I really enjoyed this book because this was a pure and simple woman from a pure and simple beginning who married at a real young age, but despite her beginnings, she rose to become a star. Highly recommended; One thing I remember about the book is the fact that when she mentioned the other stars, she was classy enough to speak well of them; A classy lady even till now.
