I love lyfe’s music because he really sings from the soul. His songs are heartfelt and have a deeper message beyond just living a life of crime or falling in love. It’s about finding out who you want to be and shaping yourself into that type of person. He does sing about his time in jail..but he does so with integrity (I messed up, but I learned something….)rather than a sense of pride which we see all too often in today’s hip hop party culture.
