I’m reading this for school. Personally, I think the Fitzgerald translation is too hard, and it makes doing homework and everything take a lot longer. However, I think I definitely would enjoy the book if I didn’t have to analyze everything that happens and write summaries about it. It just ruins it for me!

Plus, we only go up to book 12 in my grade, and then next year we finish it, so its going to take me a looong time to finish this, lol. :)

This was a breathtaking adventure story and one I hope every reader on earth will experience in their lifetime. The greek mythology is vivid and surreal, and the life, experiences and adventures of Odysseus suck you in, and you have to remind yourself continually (or do you?) that it’s fantasy fiction.
