There are some lines that are on this album that are just so amazing. Thoughtful and honest.

Usually they are pegged as a comedy group but you can see how there is the duality of the comedic personae. There is the showboaty, uncomfortable with silence side and then the somber, emotional side.

I’m always shocked at how stirring these songs are:

Brian Jones.

Call and Answer.

The Old Apartment.

Jane.

What a Good Boy.

A very entertaining and well performed collection of their greatest hits. I’ve never understood their relatively limited success – they really are a very good band and when performing live are amongst the best.
