The world is a scarily illogical place. Francis Wheen has some ideas on why that is, and while I don’t completely agree with him about everything he has to say, I definitely enjoyed the ride.

The rise of societal self-delusion, upwards through the horror of the eighties. Veering a little strangely between weighty political comment and Dawkinsesque over-egging, but a good read.

A breath of reason in an age of irrationality. Very enjoyable and actually wished it wouldn’t end. Everyone should be physically forced to read this book.
