WORTH CONSUMING!

The lowly container changed the face of the world, reworked economies, upended ports and longstanding traditions. A gripping history of the container that covers the spread of this invention.

Great descriptions of the economics of the business and the way it which it reshaped entire industries. McLean comes off as prescient and larger-than-life in his pursuit of the idea to its conclusion: our globalized present.

Only nitpicks: could have used with some photos to illustrate the evolution of the designs. Also a little more on the social impact and the use outside of shipping as for example in developing countries as shelter or shops.
