This sequel to CUBE obviously had a larger budget and some star power (Kari Machett plays the psychologist), but despite the new, improved hypercube, its the same story again: put eight seeming unrelated people in a maze, shake it up, see who survives and escapes. This time we learn a tad bit more about the people behind the cube, but not enough to satisfy our curiosity, so there’s a prequel which needs to be watched. I do hope it’s better than this rerun. I liked the original.
