When this book came hot off the presses back in 1996, I was one of the first to buy it in hardcover and didn’t mind either. She speaks about her early life, her three sisters who have all since died and her parents as well. She speaks about having been molested, yet despite of it all, she gains fame as part of Patti Labelle and the Bluebells, then Labelle. Some things she set the facts straight on as well. But had to put this in as one of my absolute favorite books and bios.
