Spike Lee's 4 Little Girls — 3 years ago
This was an incredibly moving documentary. I really enjoyed the score, which was created by Terence Blanchard (who has scored a number of Spike Lee Joints). Hearing the little details of the 4 girls lives from their friends and family members put me in that moment in time. I’ve read about the event and followed current events as it relates to the story, but seeing the doc gave the time period more depth. It was well done, and not really with an agenda. I say not really because I could tell that Spike had a gripe with former Alabama govenor George Wallace and Spike said as much on the ‘Making of the Documentary’ that accompanies the DVD.
