A story about this — 3 years ago
Oh how I love this book! It was very inspiring; It’s a couple of stories by the authors and I believe I loved the first two the most; The first deals with this independent entreprenuer who has a gourmet bakery, yet feels that folks on food stamps and on welfare is lazy but meeting a certain young lady with a sick son changes her whole outlook on the situation; The second deals with this young lady who gets with men who are not for her; she gets with this one young guy who she feels that would be her ticket out of her hundrum existence but finds he is anything but, but as always God has a ram in the bush; Real good story; The story of Maybelline is real good as well; A woman dealing with breast cancer feels down on herself until she meets this woman who gives her some of her tasty pies and show her that feeling down on herself is not the answer; the last story is about a librarian who gets mugged and almost raped when she is rescued in the nick of time by this reporter who thankfully was there and saves her; though she is grateful for the intervention, he isn’t. I won’t get too far into this one but the whole book just leaves you feeling good at the end of it;
