WORTH CONSUMING!
I really, really liked it. I didn’t expect to. But the characters were each compelling and instantly recognizable even as they were realized as wholes — flawed, stubborn, wrong, right, funny, loving, and just real.
And as far as desi-American novels go, this one did not just ring believable it was also written well. I didn’t think the recipes and the letters meshed entirely, but with the shifting perspectives and narrators, it seemed justified.
A good read.
