WORTH CONSUMING!

...which was a great and nice surprise! I loved reading the snippets about places that are familiar to me such as the QEW and The Bloor Viaduct with it’s luminous veil.

I liked this as much as the Queen Betsy stories and maybe a teensy bit better. Sarah just seems so much more real than The Undead series. And I loved the Undead series.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This was a very cute and quick read. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it had me giggling regularily on my commute.
The interesting thing is, that I do not like MJD’s Undead series. but I adored this story, eventhough they have a lot in common. I guess Sarah just isn’t as annoying as Betsy. ;-)

As a side note: Did you realize that Toronto seems to become the new capital for Vampires and other supernatural beings? New Orleans seems to be out… giggles

WORTH CONSUMING!

I wanted a good vampire read to get into the Halloween spirit and this was a good one. Cute but not too dark. I got the teensiest bit annoyed with the heroine by the end of the book, but that could just be because the love triangle didn’t work out the way I wanted it to. Big burly blonde guys are SO much cuter than dark brooding ones. But anyway. Good, fun, and cute.

WORTH CONSUMING!

If you like Mary Janice Davidson’s Undead series, you’ll enjoy Bitten and Smitten. It was a fun ride through yet another “unique“ vampire society. Sarah Dearly was a great main character/narrator who kept me interested in the story. My main complaint was that there wasn’t enough Thierry and too much Quinn, causing me to wonder way she ended up with Thierry (besides him being the obvious love interest). I liked Quinn more than Thierry because she did spent more time and had more interaction with him. Dark and broody hero who wants to commit suicide can only good so far.

A story about this — 3 years ago

If you like MaryJanice Davidson’s Undead series, you will probably like Bitten and Smitten by Michelle Rowen. Writing in first person, deep point of view narrative, it is the story of Sarah Dearly, who is attacked by a blind date and turned into a vampire. This book was kind of funny and I enjoyed it, but I didn’t think it was the most original take on vampires.
